Buddy’s Pancit Lucban and Longganisa

Looking for your regular Filipino food favorites? Well, Buddy’s may have them on the menu, but their food surely tastes more than regular. In fact, because their food is so homey and delightful, we have been coming back whenever we can.

Buddy’s features well-loved Filipino dishes from across the country (plus a few other extra food items), but they are well-kown for their Lucban pancit. I rarely eat pancit as a person, but only Buddy’s can make me give pancit a chance because they’ve got extremely flavorful ones, totally different from those that I’ve tasted in my whole life. Seriously. :) Their food is also surprisingly affordable! Most of the items on their menu are also good for sharing. Isn’t it so amazing, you can enjoy the different flavors of the Philippines all in one place, in very good quality, without having to spend so much?

The interior of the restaurant is also something new. It’s got a fiesta-esque feel to it, with the kiping or edible rice paper leaves, wood details and paintings depicting Filipino ways of celebrating. The slightly dim lighting against the yellow walls make it feel homier, thus eating is made more enjoyable.

Our favorites include bulalo, sisig, Lucban longganiza and chopsuey. Oh, and their pizza is amazing, too. Never, ever leave Buddy’s without trying any, or better, all of those. Oh yeah, almost forgot, for dessert you should try their cassava cake. I remember getting two of them only for myself because grabe it is so deliciously sweet!

You can get a taste of Buddy’s flavors at Makati (the Link, near Landmark, Glorietta), the branch we frequent the most. You have to come way before meal time because the line can get really long (see, because their food is really good), but it is really worth the wait. Then again, they are very systematic and accommodating, and soon enough you’ll find yourself having difficulty to choose from among what they have to offer, because you’d really want to try them all! They also have branches near Kalayaan Ave, Makati; Market! Market! at The Fort and Timoq, Quezon City. :)

The reveal! :) One of the authors of tilfuthernotice :)
DOLL.
Whenever I feel tired, sad or stressed, I doll myself up. First, I do my hair, then put on some makeup, and find pretty clothes and shoes to go with my makeup. Funny huh, that I have to find clothes to suit my makeup and not the other way around. But I like doing my makeup more than clothes. :D Then if I could around with what I have on, I’d wear it the whole day. If not, I just take a few pictures. A friend told me that I should do something with the pictures, and thus, I have posted one of them here. Subagay, what will I do with them anyway when they just take up the space on my drive. :)

Review: Etude House Magic Tint Balm

[}o{] Etude House Magic Tint Balm! [}0{]

First product review, holla! :D Hahaha. I’ve been using this lip balm for about a month now, and I could say it has been an essential part of my purse. I literally never go out without it! It’s great for quick touch-ups and for instantly brightening up my mood.

I found the Magic Tint Balm while I was browsing through their products. Actually, it was just an accident as I was actually looking for my favourite lip tint as I needed extra’s (what is hoarder hahaha). Unfortunately, they ran out of the shade that I needed. So I tried the other stuff that they had, and ta-dah! I feel immediately in love with the Magic Lip Balm. You see, the moment I opened the sample, the smell took me away. The sweet-tangy-cherry smell reminded me of the raspberry “food” fed to My Baby All Gone dolls (if you remember, I had one, and it’s still with me!). They come in four shades. It’s great that all shades suit me well! Haha. But I wanted the one slightly brighter or almost close to my lip color so that it wouldn’t be too obvious when I have it on. So this is what I’ve got:

The packaging is so pretty! Well, it is expected, I loved Etude House not only for their amazing and effective products but also for their products’ packaging. So sweet, chic and cute. The lip balm’s container is dainty and the screw-on cap closes perfectly so I don’t have to worry about stashing it in my bag (like I said, I use it soo frequently!).The texture is also wonderful! It’s not so sticky and not so wet/oily, just perfect! I remember being iffy with lip balms because they make me feel like I’ve smothered my lips with glue, but this one definitely let me give lip balms another chance. The shimmer is also perfect because it makes my lips glisten beautifully without having to make them look like I’ve eaten too much oily stuff. The tint is just right, the color is really sheen which I like.

My lips before and after applying the lip balm. If you can observe, they’ve become more reddish-pink and looked healthier. It enhanced my natural lip color! Magic. Haha :)

When this runs out, I am gonna get me some more, definitely. I will try the other shades too.
